Don start­ed his career in the auto­mo­tive indus­try as a tech­ni­cian, gain­ing Red Seal and then AST Mas­ter Tech­ni­cian status.

Don owned and oper­at­ed a suc­cess­ful auto­mo­tive repair busi­ness for 37 years. In 2009, fol­low­ing Don’s pas­sion to help oth­ers in the Auto­mo­tive After­mar­ket Indus­try, Don began coach­ing auto­mo­tive repair shop own­ers and staff on best prac­tices, cre­at­ing improved prof­itabil­i­ty for the busi­ness while mon­i­tor­ing and react­ing to Key Per­for­mance Indi­ca­tors relat­ing to the auto­mo­tive repair busi­ness. Don suc­cess­ful­ly sold his shop in 2021 and has become a great resource for shops look­ing at their suc­ces­sion plan­ning. Don brings a lot of wis­dom and expe­ri­ence from both own­ing a shop and coach­ing for 15 years.
